You're struggling with overthinking or avoidance due to powerful thoughts. You also feel intense physical responses in your body but do anything to try and make those feelings go away because they feel too intense.
If you're tired of:
overthinking every conversation,
constantly comparing yourself to other people,
feeling stuck in a cycle of self-doubt,
or never quite feeling "good enough,"
you're in the right place.

How Therapy Helps
Therapy for anxiety helps you identify the difference between alarm bells and a fire. It lets you see that you have the power to regulate and handle difficult things that maybe your mind did not give you enough credit for! Therapy helps you learn to find self-trust and safety in your body.
What to Expect in Session
Our first session will look like an intake: a little overview of things like your family, relationships, current habits of sleep, etc., plus your goals for therapy.
After that, we'll have a few sessions of talking about what's going on for you currently, with psychoeducation on anxiety. From there, our sessions will vary based on what works best for you, whether we use CBT, DBT, or ACT-based skills.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The goal isn't necessarily to never feel anxious again. Anxiety is a normal human emotion. Instead, therapy can help you feel more capable of handling anxiety when it arises, so it doesn't have to make decisions for you or keep you from doing the things that matter to you.
-
Yes. Overthinking often keeps anxiety going by creating a cycle of analyzing, questioning, predicting, and looking for certainty. Therapy can help you recognize these patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and practice stepping out of the cycle rather than getting pulled into every “what if.”
-
You don’t have to feel like your anxiety is “severe enough” to benefit from therapy. If worry, overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or fear of making the wrong decision is interfering with your relationships, work, school, or ability to enjoy your life, therapy can help. We can work together to understand what is keeping you stuck and develop tools to help you feel more grounded and confident.
-
You don't have to be falling apart for anxiety to deserve attention. Many people with anxiety are highly successful, productive, and capable while privately experiencing constant worry, self-criticism, or overthinking. Therapy can give you space to work on what others may not see.
